WC aboard briso. Nice member no. you got urself. I think the method luw suggested is the best way to go. Different diecast metal may have different melting points. It is not always necessary that brass should weld well to zamac. Plastic is easier to remove if you go wrong somewhere. Trying to desolder metal from metal can be a real pain in the neck should things not go as planned.
