Anyway, thanks for the heads up
, congratulations for doing it
and all the best luck for the future!

When can we expect the first models to be released and which ones will be?

Thanks for starting this Matt and most of all thanks for being available here to answer ?'s!!

I am really happy to see the relaunch of Highway 61 toolings. However so far it appears that most of the announcements have a TV/movie connection to them. That is fine and all but I am also interested in just buying the same models in some of the same colors again. A second wave of Mopar E bodies and 69 Camaros, would be a hit for sure. High Impact Cuda's and Challenger's, More 69 Z-28's, more 69 and 70 Boss Mustangs. Actually the only 69 Mustang Highway 61 did before, was the Boss 302, how about a 69 SCJ428? Also would you care to spill the beans on the Fast and Furious Cuda engine choice? Will it be a more modern take on the Hemi engine or an old school choice? Ok that is enough for now I guess

Hi Matt,

thanks for new post here regarding HW61 relaunch.
I will ask about update if you had a chance to check license for Cuda from Phantasm 1979 movie?
Will you consider 2 Fast 2 Furious 70 Challenger based on HW61 molds. I know you had your own mold, however the one from HW61 looks better in my opinion.
Currently i would like to see also 70/71 Challenger 528ci or 472ci.
72 Challenger - so front and read would require ugrade.
Regarding suggestions i would ask you to consider:
67 Pontiac GTO from tripple X / xXx 2002 movie. (ERTL done this long time ago, but it looks terrible),
Just a regular 69 Camaro with base V8 and steel wheels,
69 Boss 429
68 Barracuda from movie Highwaymen 2003 also i assume this car was used before in Malcolm in the Middle - tv series
67 Pontiac GTO from movie Faster

Hi Josh,

Yes, most of the new items we've announced did have some sort of dual branding. That's something GreenLight specializes in so we did make an effort to try and show some new style items with the Highway 61 molds. But don't worry, there will be a fair share of the more stock options you are referring too. It will just take us a while to get these all rolled out.

Thanks,

For the 2 Fast 2 Furious Challenger, that's a good idea. I'll put that on the suggestion list for sure. 72 Challenger - that's one we've talked about. It's possible, no sure thing but certainly something we've talked about doing. xXx isn't at the top of our list but it isn't out of the realm of possibility. The stock items you list are possible, the other tv/movie cars you list are all pretty unlikely just based on overall knowledge of the properties. We have to consider all our markets when making these decisions and some of them are pretty obscure.

Thanks,

Hi Greenlight. is there anymore info/photos on the fast and furious cuda
HWY-18006? is it going to be a 72 cuda like in the movie? i just wondering if the 70 cuda will be retooled to match that car or will it be more like the one at the end of fast 6.

Hi Matt,
did to manage to check licensing for Phantasm Cuda?
And technical question, do plan to upgrade front valance below bumper in 70-71 Cudas? I think it's to big. I also think that tires on rallye wheels have profile too low.

Hi Torque, I did determine who has the rights to the movie. It's possible to get if we were to package a few things together for them so this isn't a flat out no. That said it will take some time to see if the deal can work for both sides. As for mold changes, we have some for the F&F Cuda but right now we are still just sorting through all of them. We don't have a ton of upgrades planned at the moment. We are just in the initial phase still.

thanks
