It is starting to look really nice, love it in orange to be honest, the silver does make it look less aggressive however.

As for the interior, I think you got a mix of the yellow car with this one :

This 'Whips' version does have two seats inside and it also has light door panels, and light shade in the engine bay ... but it should still have the roll cage too ... strange model you've got there.

Those aren't repaints I think. I have seen the Whips version in black for sale on eBay, and if my memory isn't playing tricks on me I seem to remember the blue one was a special edition, like the black over red Murcielago ... also a special edition by Hotwheels.

Sorry for the confusion, these are not repaints but factory.
Gavin, I think I lowered by following a tutorial someone posted.

So, I'm still trying to wrap up this bloody paint job. the body components are done. Not great, but ready and partially assembled.
I picked up a Maisto Datsun 240z to fill the void of actually enjoying a custom. Also grabbed an old Bburago 993 and stripped her down. Thinking about an RWB mod, if I can find a GT2 wing to start on, but that'll be a different thread.

Anyway, here's some familiar pics to show you where the GTR stands.
The paint is definitely not flawless, but at this point, I'm just happy that it's sticking to the diecast.

I dropped it on some wheels stolen from a busted up F40, painted all the trim black and threw in some seats from a Hotwheels Civic.

Still struggling with paint issues on the doors, engine cover and skirts. This paint job will be the end of me.

Man please take your time for choosing a right color for the 993 porsche, those lines are great and a great choice in the color will make it look even better. That's a bburago right? I'll have "racing" version of chereau porsche from them, seeing your project give me ideas for starting a custom mod for that bburago.

How about digging up an old thread?

I finally finished this son of a b*tch.

I love this car (1:1 I mean). But I will never be modding a Hotwheels version again, although I have more than one ready to go. The front end/door hinge assembly is a nightmare, and will inevitably destroy the paint on edges in that area. Frustrating.
