Too funny! :giggle BTW, Shelby, Ruf, McLaren are not "manufacturers" but more like tuners or marketing companies. Besides making the S7, Saleen could also be in that group.
Also, some of them are considered "brands", like Scion, and not manufacturers.

Since you included a deceased company (Plymouth) there are hundreds and hundreds of other long gone marques.

This is a game I sometimes play to get me to sleep. Some people count sheep I think of alphabetical car makers' names.

A is for
Audi
Autobianchi
Alfa Romeo
Aston Martin
Abarth
Alvis
Austin

If we are counting current and past brands the list will be very, very long.

I will do the "A"s but in the interest of keeping it managable, I will only include companies that lasted 10 years or more.

Abadal Spain
Abarth Italy
Abbot-Detroit USA
ABC England
AC England
Acadian Canada
Adams England
Adams-Farwell USA
Adamson England
ADD England
Ader France
Adler Germany
Aero Czechoslovakia
Aerocar USA
AGA Germany
Albany England
Albion Scotland
Alycon France
Alda France
Alfa Romeo Italy
Allard England
Alldays & Onion England
Alpine France
Alta England
Alvis England
American Austin/Bantam USA
AMC USA
American Underslung USA
Amilcar France
Anglo-Dane Denmark
Ansaldo Italy
Apollo Germany
Apperson USA
Aquilla-Italiana Italy
Argyll Scotland
Ariel England
Arkley England
Armstrong Siddeley England
Armstrong-Whitworth England
Arrol-Johnston (Arrol-Astor) England
Ashton-Evans England
Aster France
Aston Martin England
Auburn USA
Audi Germany
Aurea Italy
Austin USA
Austin England
Austin-Healey England
Australian Six Australia
Austro-Daimler Austria
Austro-Fiat Austria
Austro-Tatra Austria
Autobianchi Italy
Autocar USA
Autocrat England
L'Aut-Mixte Belgium
Automobilette France
Auto Union Germany
Avallone Brazil
Avanti USA

The list would have been 3 times longer (or more) if I hadn't implemented the 10 year rule.
