I remade it with a much better asphalt texture to make it more realistic. Then I printed it and attached it to a 2' x 1' shelf with double-sided tape. I can't wait to take some new pics on it this coming weekend.

It is very inexpensive to make and it has very dramatic results. :cheers

I've been trying to think of idea on how to use real concrete to make one :confused :giggle :badidea

I'd love to see pics of your ashpalt. I have ideas in my head about making a section of racetrack, probably a curved section with the red/white curbing. Since I want to use it as a photo backdrop, it'll have to be pretty big. I tried that thin black foam sheeting but the seams don't butt up flush. That turned out to be much bigger of a headache than I would've anticipated.

I have found that Xcel makes a pretty cool checker board pattern that can be used for a winners circle.
