Am I the only person that thinks Autoart's Lambo Murcielago is their worst model to date?? I mean I just got a lime green Murcie a few days ago and I think the model sucks!! The side skirts are plastic and feel very flimsy and then theres the scissor doors...how home YatMing on a $10 VW Nardo model can make scissor doors that feel solid and stand up on there own but AUTOart on a $50 Murcie makes scissor doors that feel like if you touch them they will completely fall off!! I regret ever buying this model and im sorry but I needed to vent somewhere!! LOL :happy

Wow, I like the AUTOart Murcielago. My only complaint is that the doors won't stay up and it has no side windows. I can deal with the use of plastic since it is at least painted to match the metal's paint color instead of just colord plastic.

Yeah I had that one and I am replanning on getting the same one back.

I agree with you though the car isn't their best achievement, the concept car is a bit better. But on the whole, I saw it as good value for money, it is still a good car in my opinion.

Could have been done better, but it is the best one around.

I actually LOVE my murcielago (granted its not the lime green one, but the 40th anniversary should be exactly the same).....about the scissor doors not staying up, I don't seem to have that problem?!?

The only beef I have with the model is that the side indicators on the front bumper are stickers.

I have the 40th anniv version and it feels the same. For looks and detail this one is the best one around to me. So far as feel AUTOart made this lacking in that dept.
I have to agree with you testa422, there have been times when I wanted to complain about AUTOart's use of plastic. However I somehow feel that plastic can achieve a crisper look, Im not sure yet but it could be something like that. Either way we are here for you to vent! Besides who else would understand these things! :giggle :cheers

Here's one vote for the Gallardo being better than the Murcie. I mean the latter doesn't even have side windows - even the 40th anniv. edition (??!!!)

dang, I was hoping only to get ONE newer Lambo model, and make it the top of the line one... guess I'll have to go for the Gallardo. But the Kyosho LP500, that's just amazing to me. I HAVE to pick it up soon, or I'll go crazy just looking at the catalog! :giggle

But the real point is, I still can't believe AUTOart would do such a bad job on the Murcie, considering it's a more recent release.

off-topic: anyone know what the difference between the LP500 and LP500S is? The only exterior difference from the Kyosho catalog seems to be the colour of the wheelarches...

Comparing model to model, I think the Gallardo is better then the Murci. Afterall, it is a newer release. Think of it as the old version compared to the new version of the GT3-R: the recent one is a better model.

true. I would expect the newer model to be better than the older ones. But the funny thing is, they use the Murcie (an inferior model to the Gallardo) to make the 40th anniversary edition...
And the only things different? The paint. Oh, and you get a keychain and a display box. All for the "excellent" price of $200. :ranting

$200 is the inflated eBay price and I agree - that is too much for this car.

I got mine for $79 from one of my favorite online shops.

No, but shipping was only $7.75. I preordered it several weeks before the release date.

I'm in the same boat actually. I got in the game late with the UT Macs. Just when I start to take notice, the supply have dried up and the ones on eBay were (and still are) overpriced.

I want some UT Macs too. But WAY overpriced. My store has some Porsche GT1's, SUPER overpriced ($150CDN for a Mobil 1 livery! CRAZY!).

I wish I were in the diecast collecting a few years back.
