Following the topic about HPI stopping their modelcar business a new brand has been started.

As far as I know, it's founders are former HPI staff and will continue with some nice resins.

Their first releases are Nismo GT-R R34 models. (We will be receiving a first batch next week, hopefully right before Christmas)

Released are:

And a list including the above models, but also some still to be released:

They have also announced several older Skylines.

I also would like to get this Omori clubman, but imho the wheels sit too deep in the arches. Look at the original pic.

and also it looks like the prices are unreasonably high. Imho their models are not better than GT Spirit models that are twice cheaper. And I don't even mention the QC factor of Ignition product.
Looks like the price is just speculation on HPI business reorganization.

Why is this unreasonable? It's about the same level as HPI used to be and the same as the higher end TSM/Spark/Fujimu resins. GT spirit makes Porsches, full stop, it's not an alternative for a whole range of cars. Also, how would you know about Ignition QC; this is there first batch of models correct?

Its very hard to find Ignition models less than usd 200. And I don't take into account ebay with usd 250 offers and higher. This concern all of their products.
I can't say the same about above mentioned brands.

Yes, GT spirit has focused direction. Same situation is with Ignition. But I can't say that Ignition models are better detailed or better painted comparing to the GT spirit product as an example in order to have double price.

As for QC pls refer following link http://www.diecastxc...orth-it-or-not/

If the Ignition cars turn out like that HPI one I will be very unhappy!!
It seems that Ignition inherited HPI's molds and technology, and just changed the packing box. imho

Yep they do look the same, if the QC is bad though I won't be best pleased.

Well that doesn't look too good. I suppose we'll have to wait and see, maybe they got sloppy as the business went bust and made a transition. The price is pretty high, but I like the z-tune enough and really want that bayside blue with a clear coat....
