Improving the 612 Scaglietti

Just got my Scag today :danbanna It remained box stock for about 15 minutes before I had to do something to it. It was just begging for it :lol
I painted the window's "rubber" trim and cut off the grille's outer shape. I might redo a grille altogether but for now, it'll work.
I feel Oh so much better looking at it... :giggle

That is next on my list as well as carpeting if I can find the right color flocking

Carpeting is very hard to do, I did it on my Anson 328 and it took ages to get the correct size of the layout.

Did you actually cut felt to size? I was just thinking of using flocking and white glue.

Yup and it was a pain in the ass. What do you mean by flocking (i'm very interested now) oh btw how'd you get the front grill off? Did you break the plastic rivot thingy holding it in?

I suggest you read Alex Kustov's excellent tutorial on How To Use Flocking To Simulate Interior Carpeting

EDIT: I just used a philips head screwdriver to push against it from the inside. It pops it rigt out and you can glue it back in with white glue.
