I have been looking at the Exoto Jag's lately and it sparked my interest.

Does anyone know of any website or information with chassis history and other information on these car? Did it race in World Sports Car events and results etc.

The trouble with this model I think, is that everyone is really waiting for the Silk Cut (or at least Silk Cut-a-like) liveried version. They should look more carefully at what the desirable versions are.

The Williams FW14 has supposedly been out for a couple of months now but I don't know anyone who's got it because they're all waiting for the Mansell car not the Patrese one. And I still don't understand why they never did a GT40 in the proper Gulf colours.....

:lol Eventually I suppose! They have models "coming soon" for over two years now! Also, a MkII GT40 in Gulf coloours would not to my knowledge be correct, so they would have to change the model quite a bit to get the correct MkI/Mirage GT40 with the smaller V8 for the '68 and '69 Gulf LeMans cars :cheers

The XJR-9LM is out in Germany in both dark green and that strange Standox hue. The presentation car was on Modellissimo last week before it sold out for 139 Euro, which is pretty steep for a Motorbox Gold Label, or whatever you wanna call it. I also don't think the model has an opening front compartment (Exoto's catalog states three opening parts: two doors and the engine?)...on photos, it seems like it doesn't come off.

I might just wait until Exoto gets it coupon ready and the model can be had for a more reasonable $99 + shipping.

Check here for the chassis history. It's a bit of a dog's breakfast, but still...

Apparently chassis #488 was the 1988 Le Mans winner, while Chassis #188 appears to be up for sale.

Beyond that, information seems to be thin on the ground. HTH.

so what are the chances of a silk cut one ?? or even a plain white or pinky red one so use modders can get some decals on??

and as for the gilf gt40 got bored in the end cancelled my order and got a 1/12 gmp

He said he heard it from an Exoto dealer.

I would say pretty good- Exoto said that they would be releasing the Le Mans winner some time soon.

However, with Exoto that could mean a lot of things. :badidea
