This wasn't the world's most difficult conversion, but its still nice to have. Its the Dupont Chevy that Juan Montoya drove in the "Trading Paint" promotion, while Jeff Gordon took the wheel of his Williams. The figure is out of a Minichamps 2003 Williams Showcar with some minor adjustments to make it fit right. I am putting the finishing touches on Gordon's Williams test, but I wanted to post this one ... well ... because its always a race to to see who can make these stupid things first (you all know its true LOL!). I must confess, It'll probably go down the road shortly (need the $$$ to cover my new GM project!)
Have a Great Weekend!

Thanks for the history lesson as I had no idea montoya drove this car. I knew Jeff had toyed around with the idea of going to F1.

Whats the market like for these "trading paint" models?

I assume it would be better for the Gordon. As far as I know this is the first one made. I'll be auctioning off the two individually in a couple of weeks (waiting on some dupont decals for the gordon). I guess I'll find out. Hopefully enough that I get to have on for free. That's usually the goal, make 2 sell one, and keep the other for free. Only way to keep outta the red!

Cheers

:giggle You're right, this isn't a big Nascar forum. It's funny, I started out collecting Nascar diecast about 12 years ago, now I'm into everything. :dizzy

:cheers
