awww... that sucks.

Don't worry, you'll find another Viper. How much did you get it for again? Which viper you're looking for, I'll keep my eye out for ya.

Look on the bright side though, now you can get the Daytona! :giggle

I still gotta take pics of your beautiful aussie racers... But I gotta sort out my UT's first :happy

Yeh the "I have an ugly car " club :giggle

Johny , Im sorry to hear that bad news....you sure are having a bad run of luck lately buddy .
I assume it was an Ebay purchase , and if so dont despair too much......one thing I have learned about Ebay is that theres always another car out there which will show up sooner or later , sometimes at an even better price .

Go look at your new Merc....that should cheer you up a bit :cheers

Ah dont worry J Racer, these kind of things happen, at least the seller had the good sense of explaining the problem and returning the money back.

You will find another one, I am sure of it.

Just curious, which one was it?

Sorry Johny to hear of your car's misadventure. That's a total bummer! Coincidentally, I had also bought a Viper (#51 Sebring) from a US eBay seller. Jeff (MP) was "intercepting" the package for me as the vendor did not ship internationally. The hood was bouncing around inside the box, as was the mirror, antenna, spoiler, etc. Fortunately, Jeff was able to take a couple photos that I e-mailed to the seller. He was exceedingly prompt to refund my money and paid Jeff to ship the car back to him. It good to see honourable folks out there.

Best of luck finding a replacement Benetton GTS-R!!

Bummer! :(

But hey, atleast you got a refund right away. Unlike me, I once waited over 90 days to get a $309 refund because the merchant don't have the 'buy it now' item in stock but listed it as 'merchandise on hand'. Don't you just hate that? :pullhair

As for USPS - I don't like them much. I've lost two parcels (one recently!) using USPS. in my opinion, they're not very reliable. Overall, I feel UPS is better (domestically), although both can be a pain to deal with if/when you have to file for insurance.

PS
This is for all of you guys & gals - When ever you use USPS, my advise to you is: BUY INSURANCE!

Trust me on this. It will save you alot of time & headaches. :cheers

I actually emailed him today to ask him for a pic of the damaged car but he hasn't replyed & then I was told that I should see if he wanted to just send the cash to my paypal( I'm only going to endup spending it on ebay anyway! :giggle ) but he hasn't even replyed to that! :confused Is this quite commen to happen when you email sellers?(no replys) I would love to get an answere of yes or no, it's better then not knowing :confused

It is a bit confusing.... I have been thinking about it.... Is that viper kind of rare or something? Because, it is possible that another person offered a higher amount for it then he made up this story so that, in the end, he would look a respectable seller and still get the higher income..

I may be completely wrong, it is just a thought.
