So the frankenstein RS4 has started... cutting, grinding, gluing etc...

So far I have chopped off the front bumper, added the new one. Bonded on the side skirts and wide arches.

Next stop will be to take out the putty and start adding some shape to it all...

Little more progress from yesterday
Lowered the side skirt as they were sitting way too high. Also went to town with the mullitput so now just waiting for it to dry and then will start sanding it all down.

Fingers crossed it will turn out ok'sh.

The wheel are just a mock up by the way, not decided what I'll put on it yet.
Thanks!

Hi all

Sorry I've been so quiet lately but I had a lot of time away with work and some holidays and I've barely made any moves on this project.
There has been slight tweaks though so I guess I should update it :)

I have done some sanding and shaping and some more sanding and shaping and I'm almost happy with it. I now just need to sand down the rear bumper as I've only just added the bottom lip to it and then just re-prime it all again to see how it all looks.

Also I have managed to get a street car interior which will look decent, just need to do some trimming to make it fit.

Last but not least I am in between two wheel choices for this build but at this point I'm leaning more towards the black BBS F1's as I think they'll suit the car a bit better.

Once the body is done I will move into the engine bay

That's it so far, hope you guys like what you see

Hiya everybody

I was doing a little work on the car so figured I'd do a wee update! No crazy progress but I have been giving it a go with the engine mods.
Forgot to take the "before" photo - sorry!

Here's in its roughest stage. I have chopped off the horrible headers and worked on some new ones that would have a mount for the turbo that I'm planning to fit

Then I have decided to to just try and re-work the intake as it just looked horrible in the stock form. Not sure if I'm making any decent job of it but I'm kinda enjoying the process ;)

Old vs. new side by side

Then I have decided to whip out the airbrush and paints and this happened

Quick mock up.. Looong way to go!

And this has happened as well.... Sooooo fiddly!!

That's it for now. Still along way to go with the whole project but I really like how it's coming along!

Thanks for viewing guys and look forward to see what you all think

Just a little update on the RS4TT

I have decided to add a bit of life on the engine so covered a few parts in the "forged carbon" decal from Hobby Design. I quite like the effect, although as Pete pointed out on Insta, it looks more like winter camo.... Maybe next time I use it, I will try to cover it with clear smoke to darken it down a bit. Still looks cool in my opinion.
Also covered it in 2K for that extra gloss

Also added a little bit of regular carbon to parts of the engine bay as well as some tiny specs of paint here and there

I have decided to go with the BBS F1 for it. I think they will greatly complement the look of the car. They got pearlised black treatment as well as the 2K finish

And I have finally decided on the paint for the car. Let's face it, since it's a B5, it jut has to be yellow! But not any regular yellow. I have decided on a Createx Iridescent yellow. Damn she pops in flesh. Only done a few layers of base so far, waiting for it to properly set and then it will get the 2K treatment as well.
Cannot wait!

Still wet here, you can just about to see how it flickers...

That's it for now. Once this get's cleared and sets, I will start making my way into the interior of the car. Won't be anything as special as other projects I see on here but should work out fine for this one.

She's finished!!! Sorry about the lack of updates but was struggling with time for that so everything kind of happened in the background!

List of mods consists of:
- wide body conversion with a front bumper swap to Audi TT RS + GTR34 side skirts (chopped)
- full paint strip down and respray in Pearlscent Yellow
- full engine mod, added turbo, intercooler, few parts scratch built and a forged carbon decals that just looks like winter camo

- Audi TT RS wheels with new brakes & AP Racing calipers (wheels are static but they actually steer)
- full interior swap from racing to road
(If I've forgot something I will update it later)

I've sent some photos to Speedy and ot loads more so will probably log it all as a separate thread somewhere else at a later date

It's not perfect by any means and if I ever do similar mod I would do few things differently but overall I'm pretty happy with it.

Look forward to seeing everyone else's builds!!!
