I'm wondering if $59 is a good price for a Kyosho Ferrari 512 Bburago. A local Hobby shop has had this Boxer on it's shelf for, I kid you not, 3 years. I would think she would want to deal on it and move it, but I haven't talked to her about it yet. Input?

I happily paid 40 GBPs (about $78) for mine about a year ago. However since then i've noticed a few available for 22 GBPs ($46). So $59 is a bit too much.

Make an offer on it. You've got nothing to loose!

:iagree *HAGGLE*. I do it all the time at the local shops. I often use this line: "C'mon, give me a good deal. You know I'll be back for more stuff". Works like a charm. :happy

Are you a regular and/or have good business relationship with the shop? If you are, it will be a piece of cake. Shops have to pay rent, but at the same time they want to build customer base (repeat business is everything - most shop keepers know & want this). Haggle and see what happens. She wants to sell and you want to buy. It's a win win situation for both parties. :cheers

Hey Eddie, I have this car, and I was lucky to get a red one from Exoticar for only $25 :danbana . I don't like dealing with them, (their customer service stinks), but for this price, I couldn't loose. Anyhow, I picked up a silver one off ebay about a year ago for in the mid $40 range. in my opinion, $59 is a little high. Offer him $45 or like the others said, 20%. This is more in line with what they are worth. Good luck :cheers

Nice model, but I know I've seen it for less than $60. Haggle a bit, or find a more inexpensive one online.

I buy paint from her all the time, but the only diecast I've bought from her is my Eagle Race GT40 Mk. II. It was missing one of the head light covers, so she gave me a good deal on it. In a week or two I'll go in and see if I can talk her down. Thanks to one and all. . .

i agree with exoticar's horrible customer service. they are stupid too as the double sent me and order once and when i look at it now the models they double sent me are worth a fortune now. most notible is kyosho nsx typer r.

i think $40 is more than fair price if it's been sitting for a while. i got one and its nice.
