Here's the next review, guys. This one's for the BMW 745i.

PAINT
The 745i is available in Titanium Silver (as shown in the pictures), Kalahari Beige, Chiaretto Red, Jet Black or Toledo blue. The paint quality is typical of Kyosho - first class application without any unpainted or uneven areas. Also there is no easy way to tell the painted metal from the coloured plastic on the exterior.
8/8

EXTERIOR
This is an exterior of very high quality. The model is solidly put together with plenty of metal use. The panel gaps are tight and the model is to scale and proportionate and it weighs in at around 1070 grams. As you'd expect from Kyosho (or any other mid-priced model manufacturer) all four doors, which are fully windowed, can be opened. The doors have handles and even the driver's door has a simulated lock. All of the lights are plastic, not paint or stickers and the head lights are very finely detailed. The BMW logos are badges not stickers and the trademark kidney grilles and the air dam are perforated. Just about all of the fine details are present on the exterior including the fins on the side mirrors. The exterior is virtually perfect.
8/8

INTERIOR

Like the exterior, the interior is extraordinarily well detailed. The floors are carpeted and the seats feel like smooth leather. The seats also have simulated stitching and natural leather folds. Seat belts are present too with separate clips and buckles. The central rear seat can be lowered to double up as an armrest. The inner door detail is very good too and even the switches for the locks are present. The dashboard and centre console are very well detailed with all of the controls including the I-Drive and the buttons on the steering wheel well defined. However there is one small gripe but it is too small to warrant a downscore - the plastic used to cover the dials and the I-Drive monitor is rather hazy so it makes it difficult to read them.
8/8

WHEELS & BRAKES
The wheels are very nicely done on this model. They are well detailed with BMW badges and tyre pins on all four wheels. The tyres aren't branded (Pirelli) but the tread is accurate. The brake discs are rather disappointing. They lack detail and although brake calipers are present, they are fixed to the discs so the brake discs do not rotate with the wheels. The brakes are a very big let down.
4/6

ENGINE & UNDERCARRIAGE DETAIL

The underside of the hood is well made out with the heat reflector painted. The engine is very nicely replicated with all of the parts well defined. The correct markings are in place and there is some wiring. The undercarriage detail is excellent too. Separate exhausts are made from the chassis mould with the exhaust insulation well simulated. The functional suspension, the differential and chassis are very well rendered.
8/8

COMPETITION
Welly also make their own 745i. However Kyosho's version is vastly superior in every way, which is to be expected given the large price difference between the two versions.
5/6

DESIRABILITY
This model isn't particularly easy to find so you are most likely to only find it in stores that specialise in modelling. It is by far the best model against its competition.
5/6

OVERALL
Kyosho made a very good model of the 745i. Only its brake detail lets it down. It is a must have for a BMW/luxury car model collector and you shouldn't bother with buying Welly's version, even though it is much cheaper than Kyosho's version.

Total Score - 46/50

Excellent reviews!

Those pictures bring me back to the day when I purchase and receive the model. I wasn't going to add it to my collection until I saw the price tag. The model arrived from Canada with rear window detached. The window was still loose when I took the pictures. Anyway, it's a BMW Exclusive color (silver) and I absolutely hate the styling...
