Hiya all, just wondering if the Kyosho Ferrari's (with the Hot Wheels logo ones) are out of production? If only part of them are, which ones?

Thanks in advance!

only 5000! But all 3 stores I went to still had at least 2 to 3 in stock (various models)!

I guess people don't like Ferrari's? That can't be though...

There seems to be plenty of these models around. Some can be had for bargain prices.
I think that these Ferraris are excellent models that put HWs to shame.

I agree, I've only seen pics of the quality, but it's infinitely better than the Hot Wheels crap. It blemishes the nice Kyosho's by putting a "Hot Wheels" logo on it.

Bargain prices? how cheap can they go? I can probably only get them around $80CDN each, is that "bargain"? Too bad Kyosho didn't make the new Ferrari's, as I'm not familiar with the older ones. Which one is the "best" in terms of details and which one is "best" in terms of the real car?

I've seen the yellow 365 Daytona for 24.99 GBPs, which is a good price in the UK, as they tend to normally retail around the 40-50 pound mark.

The 512BBs can be had for cheap at the moment too (even though these are pre-Hot Wheels). I've seen the yellow and silver versions for just 22 pounds.

I have a few Hot Wheels Ferraris and in my opinion quality is excellent.

:cheers

Kyosho's Ferraris are EXTREMELY good, and usually not as expensive as an AUTOart model. There's no way of even thinking about comparing them to the crap from Hot Wheels. On eBay they don't get very expensive, and I never heard of shortage (except for the Daytona Competizione - that one is out of production and will get rare).

bah, online on ebay, the prices for the kyoshos are a bit too high for my tastes, since factoring in shipping costs to Canada, it'll cost me the same as buying it at the store... If only there were discount diecasts stores here in Toronto!

Where did you get that fact from? I have talked to a couple of dealers that deal in them, and they have never heard or read about that number. :confused and come to think of it, 5,000 of them is not really an LE specially if it is 5K of each color.
About the only LEs that I have heard Kyosho making are the BMW exclusives, and the number of those is still elusive.
I have gotten several of them for sub $30US on the bi-annual Replicarz sales and at those prices they are a bargain. Even at MSRP, they are a good buy.

i'm more interested in the "pre-Hot Wheels" Ferrari's.

But here, they're decently common, can't find the competition one though. They're all too expensive though, with 80$ I would go buy another AUTOart.

Kyosho Ferraris are more than comparable to any AUTOart model. My 308 GTB QV has a lot of detail, especailly for a $49 USD model. It is better than any of my AutoArts for the same price. The only AUTOart I currently have that can compet with it is my Benz 190E Evo II
and even that doesn't have working suspension like the Kyosho Ferrari. And if they were limited to 5000 they must not sell well because I still see 308s and 365s at the hobby shop for $49. I need to pick up a 365 GTB/4 Daytona sometime along with the Competizione re-release. :danbana

they are the best bang for the buck collection in my opinion. i hope to see the gts 308 and 328 soon. 308 non quattrovalves are getting hard to find i noticed as i don't even have doubles of them. i also agree the daytona competizione is a tougher find as well. :goodpost
