Kyosho models

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this? With the 3 bmw models I've bought. ie the silver m3 csl and the two 645 models, whenever I open the box I get a strong plastic glue smell. It's the same with all 3 models. I havent experienced it as much with other closed styrofoam boxes from other manufacturers.

Just wondered if other people have noticed the same thing? :confused

is it glue or the chili you had last nite? :lol :giggle :lol
All of mine have a strong odour. Must be the glue. I do not have other cars that smell like that. I have the black and silver CSL, black 645 and 645 safety car.

I agree that they certainly have an odour. I don't know if its the glue or not though. Might just be the plastic.

I think it smells more like plastic then glue.
I just thought maybe its a special smell to make us go wow this models great, must buy more kyosho models now :giggle
I'd be surprised if it wasn't all of the plastic and vinyl bits outgassing any solvents and unreacted monomers left over from the manufacturing process...

"forte" That's a funny way to say 40 :giggle Oh I got 40 BINGO what do I win.
Please dont say the smelly bmw boxes. only if the bmws are in them.

why dont you leave the boxes open to air them out for a few days.

:cheers
Glue smell is any day better than glue drops. :scared The E class from kyosho i picked up had 3 drops of gum on its front right hand side fender.
The models i pick up from my model shop have a thin layer of moisture of them which on wiping do become clean. That could be because they sit day in and day out in an air conditioned room. Dont know what the long term effect will be on models that will never make it out of there.

Winstoncds - my black 645ci had a "layer of moisture" on it when i first got it. It must be a by product of the manufacturing process as i can say with 100% certainty, that it wasn't A/C that caused it (-4C at the moment).
