I can't find any thread dealing with Laudoracing specifically, so I thought I would start one.
I have a fondness (madness?) for small Italian subjects - and Abarth stuff in particular.
They make exclusively Italian subjects (or so they say!) in 1/18th scale - always sealed resin.
I have several, and am impressed with the Otto/GT Spiirt levels of accuracy and finish.

I'll start the ball rolling with links to their 2016 catalogue:
http://www.wobook.co...cing-Model.html
And the recently added 2017 edition:

I think we qualify under the term 'club' as members of Diecast Exchange.
Perhaps one of our top brass could apply to the company and claim access to the 15% discount on offer.....

Laudoracing have their own e-bay site now with a lot of obsolete diecasts.

Many old 1/24th bBurago models and some interesting 1/18th.
yes, I saw that. Looking forward to taking a peek at what they've got this weekend :)
Fiat 131 Racing now available for pre-order:

Some interesting colour combos... Without having yet compared pics with the 1:1, initial impressions are that it's pretty good! However, I'm on the fence at the moment as to whether to order or not. Let's see :)

Did Fiat really offer those strange highlight colours on the metallic grey back in the day?
I have to say I never saw such a thing.
For me it would be the orange, since I had a drive in one many years ago, and it was great fun.
I was surprised too, but it looks like maybe they did:
I found the same brochure in italian language, same pictures, so maybe they made it.
I checked on an original 1979 magazine, when they tested that car, but no mention about those colour combinations.

Perhaps they were colour combination options from the factory, and no one bought any.
I wouldn't.....

Haha probably!
I found just a couple of pictures of real cars on the web, with those coloured bumpers..

In that 1979 magazine I found also an article about an hybrid 131: electric + gasoline.
But we know, hybrid is "new"..

That van they've just released, there must be about a dozen different versions of it?!
More details of the first generation Fiat 127.
Something doesn't look quite right to me, I think the 'shoulders' at the edges of the bonnet are too sharply modelled.
This then make the headlight surrounds also look odd.
Perhaps the photos are causing this, and I am wrong.
I hope so.

hmm, not noticed that myself, but will look at some 1:1 pics later to compare. Overall, I rather like it. Sits a bit high at the rear perhaps, but can live with that :)

Good.
It always helps to get a second opinion!

from the images I can see, there are some discrepancies at the front. Possibly the headlights are too big, and the front bumper too thick:

versus:

(you need to scroll down)

However... I think these are not enough of an issue to put me off buying one. It's not terrible like the GTV6 was :)

And comparing the two, I think the bonnet doesn't curve downwards towards the front, making that whole area too tall.
Meaning the headlights are too large as you mentioned.
'Prototype with many changes' didn't help the GTV6, and unless the tooling is modified I can't see this being corrected.
Still, there's a first time for everything......

you're right buddy, but... I think i'm going to turn a blind eye to these things. It's 99% correct, and no one else will make a s1 127, so it's one to order.

Question is... which colour? :)

If it turns out that there is no improvement in the frontal shape, then the darker the better.
Meaning the dark blue.
Thing is though, I seem to remember that the majority of them around these parts were lighter colours.
I had two of the facelift versions, one was a light blue and the other was a mid green (both lighter shades than the options shown).
I must dig out my Quatroruote 1/24th scale model, and see how that compares.
As for Laudoracing distasters, there is also the 128 Berlina......

Agree, mate. I also have the 1:24 in that olive green colour, and I'm very fond of it. Colour-wise, I'm not sure which to pick:

White: this is representative of cars sold in the heat of Southern Europe and was a common sight there in the 70s and 80s, but I don't think it does the shape too many favours.

Red: looks good, but too much of a cliche for an Italian car?

Dark blue: the chrome contrasts brilliantly with the dark blue, but small cars should be happy colours.

Light blue: almost a teal-like colour. Given the 127 is quite a utilitarian car, this colour is close to being decadent :)

Yellow: very nice, but means the car has the boring all black interior. Hmm.

Green: the olive green kinda works. It's a bit drab, but like I said earlier, the 127 is a utilitarian car, so maybe the colour is appropriate.

Not sure. One tiny matter. I don't know what year the Italian number plates had the region picked out in orange, but I wish this 127 had that. But I like that it has the TO number plate of its home county :)

My 1:24th 127 is the yellow, and it looks OK.
Select the colour by drawing straws.....

And it turns out I had the green version of the 127 too!
I had entirely forgotten about it.....
