Hey all,

I'm a huge Dodge truck fan and am looking for site or brands that make 1/18 scale Dodge trucks.
I'm new to collecting so I'm not having a lot of luck finding much to choose from besides newer (2002 Rams and up) models. I have a 1/18 '95 Ram 2500 by ERTL(american muscle), not the best quality but like I said not much to choose from. I just ordered a 1/18 '96 Ram 3500 dually by JRL and this looks to be a good quality model from some reviews I have read.
So can anyone steer me towards some good Dodge truck sites and brands?

Thanks a lot!

Bob, Look for Dodge's 'Lil Red truck or Warlock on Ebay, you can find them on there sometimes. They are both by ERTL. Doing a search just now, I found two 'Lil Red trucks and one Warlock. Hope this helps. . .

Type in like, 1:18 'Lil Red Truck, or 1:18 Warlock, or just 1:18 Dodge truck. I am on the prowl for a 1:18 Dodge Power wagon, (the original one) by Matchbox, but reading some posts on here, I'm afraid that it's not truly in 1:18th scale.

The powerwagon by matchbox look to be around 1:21 in scale. I bought it, but gave it away as "right on scale" in one of the few rules I stick to.

Other Dodge trucks to look for are the Anson Ram 3500 molds (which the JRLs are based on)
The Ertl '95 Ram 2500 LWB single cab was only released in a few colors.

On the late models MotorMax, Welly and Jada make them.

Well, I guess that puts an end to my Power Wagon project, and one of the models on my 2005 Wish list. My Grand father had a '48 Power Wagon that he put a straight 8 out of a '41 Chrysler Imperial into and I was wanting to duplicate it with a Match Box Power wagon and a Motor City Town & Country. Sigh. This all happened when I was 2 or 3 years old, but I have heard about it so much, I wanted to try and replicate it. . .

Hi there Bob. I'm a big fan of Dodge trucks and I have about 20 of them in various states.
Here is a quick list of the types I have.
Anson Dodge Ram 3500 Dually, stake bed and dump truck
Anson Dodge Dakota, (there is also a Dodge Durango, but I don't have one)
Ertl Doge Ram 2500
Ertl Little Red Express and Warlock
Motor Max Dodge Ram 2500 double cab (2004 version)

I think there is a Welly Double cab Ram too. The Motor Max Ram is a good size, on par with the Ertl models.
Your JRL is the same as the Anson 3500 Dually, but you could get it in two tone paint, and it may have a diesel engine in it instead of the V10.
I would love to see a picture of your JRL Ram. Where did you get it from? I thought they had been out of production for several years.
I can still get some Ertl Dodge Rams here in New Zealand, and I have HEAPS of parts if you need some.

thanks

Peter

Peter,

Nice collection hope to have the same someday myself!

I place I bought the JRL Ram 3500 in red (please support DX Advertisers!) just emailed me a couple days ago and said they didn't have it anymore ( it was used) I had placed the order and they confirmed it and even emailed me the shipping confirmation and then the next day they emailed me saying the didn't have it after all and offered one in another color which I could find on ebay for 1/2 they're price. But I wanted red so thats why I bought from them.

Yea JRL is now made by Anson.
