I don't recall seeing a thread about this model so i took some time to take new pics of it. I believe this model was somewhat overlooked, maybe because it's a F1 car and, even if it was driven by legend Ayrton Senna, it wasn't a championship winning car.
Well, the level of detail and craftsmanship of this model is exceptional, almost on par with the Zonda R and the Nissan R390. And it's very well put together, a nice feature that was present in Autoarts of old. When we consider the price(they are still avaliable!!), we can say this model is great bang for bucks, In terms of engine details alone, it's surely among Autoart top 3 models ever. I love a underdog, and this may be considered one.
Buy one before it's gone, it is that good.

Brilliant model! I always thought of adding one, but I don't activelly collect racers (though I have a few) and I have no F1 cars at all.

Nakajima's car is still widely available for about €200 in Europe, it's Senna's car that is more rare (and expensive) around here. Still, one could buy the Nakajima car and change a few decals, both cars are almost identical...

Whilst I don't have a large collection of F1 cars (most championship winners) and a sprinkling of Ferraris, Aryton Senna was the driver I most admired. I still remember as a schoolboy seeing his infamous crash and not being able to go to school for 2 days as I was too distraught.

I don't know why I don't have a Senna vehicle in my collection, but your photos have alone convinced me of which one to choose. I agree it will only be a matter of time before the prices on these Lotus F1s will sky rocket - thanks for the insight.

Yeah they made these obscure (well maybe not this one) formula 1 cars like the Honda RA272 and the Porsche 804, which are still widely available and if you try to sell one, you'll do so at a great loss. And I can't help but wonder what made them do that when so many more well-known subjects were available.

Perhaps orders from Honda, which AA seems to have the licence for? There was the Honda 272, this Lotus - Honda 99T, the McLaren - Honda MP4/30 and the McLaren - Honda MP4/6 is announced. Except for the Lotus - Ford 72E and the Porsche 804, all are powered by Honda. Perhaps this is not a coincidence?

I am with you. I have one, Senna without a pilot, and I really love it.
It made me hope AutoArt would release more Formula one cars (Senna 1990-1991 Mc Larens and more...)

I am waiting for the release of their Mclaren Mp4/6 that's already listed as a future release incl. pictures. I hope they won't back of on this one.

This is a masterpiece I would say. One of the best detailed model by Autoart. I have one and will share its pics soon.

There is so much details ongoing this model. Out of 4 F1 cars I have this is the best next to CMC 156 Dino. Even the Porsche 804 is pretty well detailed.

Awaiting to see their MP4/6 to add to my F1 cars list.

I have to agree, an over looked model, I love them, got in 2015 and 2016

Excellent display!

I don’t generally collect F1, but do have a couple.

Occasionally AA would do Customer White versions of certain models.

If they had done this one, it would have been in my collection.
