Lotus has entered the elite tier of supercar performance with their new Evija. Its numbers are almost unbelievable - over 2000 (!) horsepower, a new record for production cars, and 0 to 300 kmh in only 9.1 seconds, which is almost 4 seconds quicker than the McLaren Speedtail.

This is my third 1:18 model from Spark, after the Dauer 962 and Yamaha OX99-11. Both of those are good resin models, I'd say this is even better. The complex, aerodynamic shapes of the car look to be spot on. Matte silver usually wouldn't be my first choice of a color, but it really works here, the paint really stands out. The interior is definitely above average for a resin model as well. Overall, I highly recommend this to all supercar collectors. I wish Spark would make more unique supercars like this and those other ones they've done in 1:18, but who knows, maybe I'll get some of their 1:43 ones.

I really like Yours outdoor photos! They are great, especially with others cars for company. I am not sure if Lotus is attractive for me, but is nice too look at it.
I saw that AR is announced Evija, with open parts, but I do not know anything more, I only saw few picture.
Thanks for sharing!

Where did you see this announcement and pictures of the Almost Real Lotus Evija model? I would be very interested in getting such a full-opening model of this car.

Thanks Madej, I'm glad that you like my photos. As for the AR Evija, that the big butterfly doors open makes it tempting, but I won't go out of my way to find one. One AR model + shipping from China costs the same, or for some a lot more, than what I paid for this + a GT Spirit Aston + shipping from Austria. And like I said, I'm very satisfied with the Spark, so I'll wait until AR releases something totally new to spend the money on one of their models again.

What a beauty Mike, it certainly has hypercar written all over it. Good to see the lineage with the GT1 and V8 too. I ordered one originally before my supplier cited QC issues. Nonetheless I would really like to see one in either yellow or BRG too. Spark look like they have done a great job - well done on the new addition.

Are there STILL quality control issues on this model, as far as you know? I would like to buy one if there are NOT.

You beat me to it as I got mine in the other day. It’s my 2nd or 3rd Spark too and it is really detailed, although now I want that opening one….

here’s mine and a few with its baby brother Emira (which is a TSM I think but it looks toylike beside the Spark Emira)
I almost ordered that same blue Emira with this, since the shop had it, but went for a GTS Aston instead. Very interesting comparison photos, I just now noticed how much the Emira and the Evija have in common, even though the Evija seems like a whole nother beast at first.

Thanks Simon, sorry to hear about that. I saw on one shop that they’ll get another shipment of these this year, so maybe Spark is making another batch. I like the matte silver, but yes, the Lotus colors also really fit it. It looks amazing in yellow.
