To answer the wheel question: it's just a game of luck! Like Matt already mentioned, some Paragons are glued like hell and some not.
I tried it on my F06 and F13 M6 as well but those didn't come off in any way.

For the wheels/brakes of former M6: I had a spare set, purchased from ebay one day. Some shops are offering resin copies but those are not chromed of course.
