Chopped the top off, changed the rear spoiler & painted it with the color changing paint.

Looks really good. :nicejob
Bah, I can tell you cheated. The place where the top would come from was stolen from another Cobra convertible. Looks good though. I really like the Cobra R in convertible form.
Very nice work! :cheers :cheers :cheers

The Maisto Mustang mold for the 99 GT , Cobra R & '03 Cobra is basically the same. The windshield part is still the stock Cobra R part. I just cut part of the top off & drilled out the 2 rear rivets. Once the top is removed , the rear shelf already has the holes opened for the convertible boot (from a 99 GT) , so why wouldn't I use something that was already made for it ?
Awesome work Scott. :cool1 :cool1 Nothing wrong with the chop shop in my mind. :nicejob

man.. love the paint. good job

:( Poor Cobra R...

Regardless, awesome job. Love the paint. Maybe you should try replicating the 2004 Mystichrome Cobra. That would be wicked awesome.

Wow so many people are starting to experiment with the colour change paints... Chups and I are experimenting using colourchange nail polish- thinned down to spray through an airbrush... The results look awesome mate.

I am impressed with the bonnet vents... Do they go all the way throgh? or are they just pressed into the metal?

The vents are just pressed into the metal.

It would be interesting to see how hard it would have been to punch out a small amount of metal to see through to the engine compartment.

What do others think?
