Next project on my workbench:

After GranTurismo S and GranCabrio I need a Quattroporte of course to complete my trident collection.
But the HotWheels isn't worthy to stand next to them in stock condition.

Furthermore I like the current version (modified front and rear end) much better. So it's my turn once again...

I started with cutting out the front grille and went on with the lower openings. The outer both have to be wider, the one in the middle smaller. I cut the parts between and placed them a few millimeters inwards:

Then I set the new lines of front bumper with styrene profiles, filled and sanded it:

Still some fine finish to do but the basic shape of the front is already done.

Some pics to give you an idea of my intention:

If anyone has 4 front wheels of Hot Wheels Maserati MC12 for sale (the rear wheels are too large), please PM me!

Just a small update, it's still too warm for extensive work but I wonna bring it forward.

So I worked on the rear bumper today.
The basis:

First I rasped off needless material and a casting burr:

Then I formed the new lines with my well-proven method:

After filling and first sanding it looks like that now:

Still some corrections and fine-sanding to do, then I have to match it to the wheel arches which have to be widened on the GTS. For today I quit, it's no fun having the swarf adhering all over my skin...

I picked myself up and went on.
After reworking the rear bumper yesterday it looked fine and was ready for painting.
Instead of Carbon Black I used my new favourite of BMW Individual colours, the very similar Azurite Black!
It has a little stronger bluish touch, looks fantastic!

After painting the basic colour I scratched it off from the rear emblem and the side vents with a scalpel. That looks more accurate than painting it silver later. Further I attached fine photo-etched trident emblems on the C-pillars, before I covered all with 4 layers of clear coat.

The wheel issue is solved as well. The rims of MC12 are too large, that wouldn't look good. So I decided to go with an uncommitted wheel design and chose the BBS Challenge of the silver version of Revell's Wiesmann Roadster.
