I think it looks fabulous!!
I would love to own one, but the combination of the fact it does not really fit with my collecting 'themes' and not least THE PRICE (!) means I will have to admire it at a distance through your excellent photos! Thanks for posting speedshowcase!

Exactly my sentiments.
I'd love to own the model but I've been priced out by AUTOart. Maybe a budget line will show some interest?

Compared to the Exoto Jaguar XJR9 at $112/shipped, this takes the honors as the most overpriced model outside of the Limp Bucket. As for how it strikes me, the mirrors would make YatMing ashamed but I'm impressed with the interior and what appears to be much better (but still not good) spoiler rivets.

AUTOart dosn't need to be taught how to price models, Exoto's have not risen in price by the same amount as AUTOart; apart from the XS series which AUTOart has nothing that any were near as detailed. Any idea when the #18 blue and white version is being released?
How long ago was the first Mazda 787B released/ I remember paying around £100 about $150 at the time and now there $259, $109 for a repaint!

the mirrors have always been the 'archilles heel' of this particular diecast
whether they be broken off or wonkey....

the fact that this prototype has them misaligned comes as no surprise

when i heard was going to be a 'stealth' version 787B i assumed a discrete (discrete with this stance of car hahaha) black / CF version but not with all this white 'grafitti' ...still not growing on me yet...and further that price confirms more so my desire not to procure for my stash...

it may be just the camera angle, but in pic #2 apart from the out of vertical line mirrors the rear spoiler isn't level either

and #3 the aerial is bowed and the 'GT' tampo across the doors is misaligned.

you would think if they asking this kind of coin for this, they would take pics of a perfect example as i would asume these will be the stock pics usd on their website from here on in...

Yeah, there is a lot of profit built into that price tag. The original 787b is a great model, so the repainted one will be also, but AUTOart really could have offered it at a much lower price.

so the original 787b were $150US when released in early 2000's, selling since from $250 up to a staggering $450 probably what they basing the price on

That's what always bugged me. I accept that the production and material costs will be at the higher price but the majority of the R&D and licencing should be absorbed surely? I can accept price rises and the reasons mostly but surely they should be such a factor spread over a production run.

The wholesale price on the date of release was a staggering (at the time) $72. The street price was around $110 at first. If AUTOart is basing their current pricing on eBay prices, then how much will the Wagoneer be if ever released again?

The carbon fiber pattern looks well done, but I don't care much about these game based cars. It would've looked much better if it was 100% carbon fiber w/o the stupid GT markings.

I won't be getting it, A because of the price & B, beacuase it's just a made up version for the game, which I have no interest in.
