It was like this: I was at a comic store and saw these very cool looking miniature mechs on display. I asked what the were and was told they're from the Mechwarrior miniature game. It's a tabletop strategy game, where you use miniatures. There's some 500 different pieces, from mechs to tanks to helicopters to foot soldiers. I picked a starter deck to see how it was and it's trés cool.

They're totally stock! That's one thing I liked about them: no messing around with paints or glue, and they're very well detailed (in my opinion) for the scale, that is 1/160 ("N"). All the pieces released so far can be seen here.

And the best part is that they're cheap! :yahoo
A "booster pack" comes with one mech, one vehicle and two troops, for about 7 bucks. The starter deck, that comes with the rule book, dice and ruler, goes for about 20 bucks, and comes with 10 pieces.

Luciano is such a geek. :giggle

Hey bro, you're having too much fun with these toys. I can feel the geekness oozing through the monitor. Butter go put a geek proof goggles on before I wind up running to the comic shop. :happy

Haha, but seriously, these are pretty cool. A lot of folks I know use these to play chess aside from board games. :cheers

Would you believe that right now the office is in the dark and I'm typing with a flashlight strapped to my head? :lol I just got it as an early gift from my dad and I was trying it out. :lol :lol :lol

Those things are really cool. Even if you don't play the game they are neat to collect.

PS: My wife just walked into the office and bursted out laughing. Women...
