Going back to the roots, old pictures need to be replaced with better ones. This is the second scale model of the collection, bought back in 2004. Just dull, gray, poor interior, but we are still waiting for better model of the SLR... Maybe ARM, LCD... Let's wait...

Interesting collection: - some great models, some so-so, some not-so-great. Each collector got their own process of choosing; I am always curious how others do it, especially if they end up with different selection from my own...

Thanks for your thoughts YTNYC :)
My begining in collecting models was an idea having just 3 models, nothing expensive, but big enough to appreciate some details.
So back in 2004, consuming TopGear and 5thGear vids, I wanted to have the BIG 3 of this era: Murcielago, Carrera GT and SLR. Bought Maisto models and fell into collecting little later with other models, mostly modern supercars presented in mentioned programmes :)
Years later, when I started attending Geneva and Frankfurt motorshows, I focused on presentation colors of supercars, and also bought models of cars I have seen in 1:1.
Basically, my collection is build up by models of cars I mostly seen in person
Want to share your story? :)(y)

Wonder what happens, if you leave your model on the direct sunlight? See all the yellow plastic windows/headlamps.
It doesn't really matter to me, I'm waiting for some premium brand to produce some much better qualitty F50.
