Welcome to my collection topic. I will keep everything organized here, and post some of my models.

My history - I started collecting models in 2006 and joined DX in 2007 (as 118supercars) I have been collecting on and off since then. Some important themes in my collection are Jaguar, Ferrari, concept supercars, 1930s, and more.

I'll still post new topics for certain models, but I'll also post some in this topic. Here are a few that I've photographed recently. These are all models of cars that Giorgetto Giugiaro designed.

First, the Minichamps Maserati Ghibli. It's not perfect, but it's still one of the best Maserati models available in 1:18 scale. I love the black and tan colors, the opening parts including pop up headlights, and the very nice interior.















Next, the AutoArt Lotus Esprit S1, as featured in The Spy Who Loved Me. I had wanted this first Esprit for a while, and now that I have it...I would've gotten it a lot sooner. It's so gorgeous, sometimes I can't stop staring at it. It's one thing to see it in pictures, but on the shelf, it really steals the show.



























The Yat Ming VW W12 Nardo 2001 concept. This is one of the concepts that led up to the development of the Veyron, when Volkswagen and its brands were experimenting with different designs for a four-wheel drive, mid-engined, supercar. The model obviously doesn't have much detailing, but the subject matter and the cheap price made it a no-brainer for me. It goes great with the Audi concepts, and the wheels and especially the brakes are good for a budget model. And it's definitely better than the MotorMax - which is out of scale, and it doesn't know whether it's a W12 Syncro or a W12 Nardo.

Special congrats to the 2 new CMC - have both and love them.

Really like the Ghibli and w.r.t. 007 Esprit I have quite often considered buying one.
Didn't pull the trigger yet because I always think it should have opening headlights.
On the other hand it simply looks great and is an iconic 007 car - so maybe one day...

My bad.. Now i have seen it i enjoyed all your models. The Esprit is so Beautiful,i had it many years ago when i collected 1/18 models and the one with the ski's on the back too. Big updates,thanks for taking the time,very enjoyable.

Dirk, it's funny that you mention that, that's exactly why I took so long to add the Esprit. I thought that it wouldn't be as good as the V8, which has pop up headlights, AutoArt made it more recently. The S1 isn't quite as detailed as the V8, but it's such a good looking model, and it looks so much better in real life than it does in pictures... I can promise that you won't regret it.

Here's the CMC Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. It's no secret what a beauty this is, but now that I have it I must say, it's probably the best model in my collection. It's amazing how much detailing CMC packed into this, everything that's going on in the interior, engine, trunk, all the opening and removable parts, the wire wheels... it's truly 1:18 diecast at its finest. I'll always regret not getting the blue California and any of the SWBs when they were still available, but I'm very happy to have this, a new centerpiece for my collection.
