Does anyone know when this model is to be released - GrandPrixLegends website has a photo of the item and it looks superb, especially for £20! Want to add it to my small collection.

TIA

Hello,

I can't get their website up at the moment. Are you sure it is a Minichamps, and not the Solido version? 20 pounds seems a bit too good to be true. I thought it was going to be about 40GBP.

:cheers

Its a strange one! :confused

Is Minichamps launching a new lower cost brand/line? Logic states that for 20GBP, it can't be as good as their other 1:18 releases. I hope at the very least its in scale and has a carpeted interior.

Could it be a mistake? I've googled it and many UK companies are offering pre-order at 19.99, so perhaps Minichamps released the wrong prices to dealers? Stranger things have happened.

:cheers

If I remember correctly these are indeed lower priced than normal Minichamps models. My guess is that they will be at least as good as the inexpensive models they made for Beanstalk (like the Ford GT Concept). Anyway I plane on getting the DB9 as soon as it hits the US :happy

It will be £19.99 as part of Minichamps Car Collection.

There are a few more models to be released in this collection, including Sierra Cossies and Ford Capri's. :cheers

I am in the market for a Vanquish and DB9 model and was directed to GPL.com. The Solido 1:18 DB9's look great (very nice red/green combo for the coupe and covertible) and also saw the Minichamps 1:18's. I will definitely wait to see which colors Minichamps offers for the DB9's.

Thanks for the extra info.

I don't wish to sound like a diecast snob, but if quality has taken a tumble, i shall not be buying it. I'd rather spend 40-50 pounds and have a model i am proud of, instead of a slightly 'rough round the edges' cheapo effort.

:cheers

That's very funny...while AUTOart raises prices on everything, Minichamps introduces a budget range to undercut AUTOart...very smart, too.
