Following on from Button's FW22, this one is another new addition this year. Picked up on eBay for £15 + P&P....

This was the first McLaren to run in the West livery, and also the car in which Mika won his first GP. A year later, he took his first world title....

Even though that car is a decade old, to my eye's, it still looks quite new, and its nice to see a F1 car on FULL PROPER SLICKS :happy

I still remember seeing that last 1997 race on live TV, almost like it was only the other day.

That's interesting. To me - it looks ancient. I started watching F1 in 1998, so I've grown up watching the cars with grooves and narrow width.

I like them, but these old, wide cars don't have as much visual appeal to me. I think the more modernt cars look much neater and compact.
