Hi all, finished this little minor project not long ago, finally got some time to post pics. Was always a Maserati fan, therefore i simply couldn't resist modding one :happy ! Really simple mods on this car. Carbonfibre-colour-like bonnet and boot, GT wing, exhaust, rims from Shelby, stripped interior (skills not good enuf to do roll cage yet :crying ), front mount intercooler, and some paint touch ups in the engine....hope you guys like it!

Front mount intercooler made by styrene sheet. And btw, i also colourded the inside of the lights black...cause this car used to have black rims, lol.

That is well, very good!! Does the real thing exist?

I wish I could find that styrene stuff here :crying
Thanks mate! But nope, this is purely an imagination design by me.
Its really a pity you don't get styrene sheets, they make scratch build intercoolers sooo much easier!

Thank you everyone for your kind and supporting comments! And i'm glad to finally pass 100 :danbanna !

SM: What i used was paint. Cause i couldn't find any CF decals around that got the right size 'squares' for 1/18 cars, they are either too small or too big.
The paint i use is Mr. Colour #28 named 'steel'. The colour looks a lot like CF and its not as boring as simply painting it black. Although it does not provide any CF 'squares' its still very realistic and nice. Hope this helps

Awesome work JU570. That Maserati really looks good now. I love the racing seat and harness.
Where did you get those crazy X-drilled discs? They look great. Did they come with the wheels?

Have you thought about painting the rubber trim around the side windows flat black? That might make it look even more realistic.

BTW, you can get 1:18 CF decals from scalemotorsport.com. They even have kevlar decals :cool

As for the rollbars: you can also use coat hangers. Harder to work with than styrene rod but nevertheless realistic looking after being painted.
