Heres the first of the pics after it was modded... I havent got any of it without the side skirts or front spoiler unpainted.

I forgot to say in my first post that I used acetone free nail polish remover on one side of the car and I used Mothers Cutting compound and the npr on the other...

The cutting compound removed some of the shine off the door that I did so I will now give it a good polish to try and bring it back up to a nice shine.

I used general purpose sticky tape and taped up the car when I painted the front bar and I removed the side skirts and painted them seperately so that I didnt get paint over the rest of the car. The side skirts need more painting done because paint is not as smooth and shiny as the front bar. 1 more coat of black and a couple of clear will do the trick nicely I think.

This shot is of the door that I used the cutting compound and the npr on. You can see the dull areas and the shiny as well... Theres still a bit of an outline on where the decals used to be... They will come off when I give it a polish

Heres a shot of the back. I havent removed the decals from here as I quite like the look of the 2 small MM ones on either side. Plus I do not want to have to pull it apart to get the rear bar off for painting

You can also see the metal flakes in the paint in this shot more

Also when I took it apart to get the side skirts off it I found that under the cover bhind the rear seats there are 4 nitrous bottles. I might end up taking them out as they cant be seen at all.

Thanks mate. Im not sure what else I will be doing to it. Im just going to finish cleaning it up after christmas. We have too much on between now and then so it looks good as is atm

I might put some form of stripe down the centre of the car... like in black or something like that.

I need some suggestions on the colour

Cheers

Thanks people. Im still trying to decide what colour the stripe is going to be (if I still do it.... I quite like it plain, but friends reckon it needs something else)

looks good ben keep us updated with the photos
i would not try taking the sign off the rear bar as i did that with my R34 and the white went to gray :( so you would have to repaint the rear bar
also any photo's of where the nos bottles are kept cause i might b getting this car so i can use parts off it for the mustang ;)

Ok... I did a bit more work to the car and

I took shots of the nitrous bottles and sound system

I got my silver paint pen and painted the front intercooler and the 2 coolers things either side of it in silver and now it livens up the front end a lot
