:welcome

Glad to see another F1 collector join the board. Looks like you've got quite a collection of Williams cars there. You will probably find a deal on the '06 BMW Sauber at some point, usually Villeneuve and Heidfeld models make their way to ebay and discounted after a while.

Here's a pic of the Williams JPM model I have, the FW25.

Very nice Williams' models you have there. I am a perannial collector of 1/43 Minichamps F1 (and the occasional Hot Wheels)! I like your devotion to Williams/BMW there also, you are going to invest in the 2005 cars right?

There was a Williams Race Suit edition also, if you wanted one to partner your Kimi.

If its BMW you collect though are you going to buy 1/18 BMW Sauber's from now on!?!?

:welcome

:cheers

MustangSVT, nice FW25. :) Definitely one of my favorite F1 cars of all time (alongside the FW26b and the Brabham BT55). Hopefully I can find some good deals on the F1.06 BMW Sauber on ebay. All of my BMW models have been purchased on Ebay so I think I'll get lucky eventually.

EnzoFerrari, I know someone in Texas that is looking out for the 2005 FW27 (both Heidfeld and Webber) at the Mattel Outlet. He found a Mark Webber FW27 there for $9. As far as the BMW Sauber F1.06, like I said above, I'll just wait until I can find a good deal on one.

I know the race suit model you're speaking of. It's the Mark Webber model. I'm not a huge fan of his so I don't plan on buying that anytime soon unless it's a really, really low price.

DiecastX, I'm a little bit of a fan of BMW. :) It's not the only manufacturer I plan to collect. Eventually I'd like all McLaren F1 GTR liveries (albeit they are BMW powered), the Mercedes silver arrows (C9, C11, C291, C292, CLk-GTR, etc), and a variety of LeMans cars like 911 GT1s, Speed 8, DBR9, Toyota GT-one, etc. :D

I saw a BMW V12 LMR in person... right next to a McLaren F1 GTR short tail "fina" livery...! amazing, got a lot of group shots.

But nice diecasts you have... not my theme (which right now is classic muscle cars) but good luck!

Oh yeah, I think we met at the Winter Park car show last October (the Fchat gathering). I missed the Amelia Island car show that took place in March. I didn't even know about it until lastweek. I saw that supercars.net gallery you posted in the Florida section. That was depressing :( You saw the McLaren F1 (chassis 17R), V12 LMR, and the Porsche 956L chassis #003 (2nd place in 1982 and overall winner in 1983). :(

probably... I have gone to winter park since 2003... and going back again this year (on saturday I'm going to the Lake Mirror Classic car show in Lakeland at Lake Mirrror [also free]). Yea, I've also gone to amelia since 2001. I try to hit up the biggest (that I know of) car shows in north-central florida (can't really make any south of orlando or farther west than tampa). But maybe we can "officially" meet in october ;)

Oh nice, you saw my supercars.net gallery! thanks for viewing it. Its the only one up now... I deleted the other ones. I am still on the site but under a different name (problems associated with the other - mostly I got into myself).

PS- don't forget the very FIRST 1963 Corvette Z06 built (as a racer).

Thanks for checking it out. Hopefully I can get all the ones I want (at least 30 more), but they're tough for me to find (and at a reasonable price). I think what's left of the Williams BMW is:

2000 FW22 race version - Jenson Button
2001 FW22 launch version - Montoya
2002 FW23 launch version - Montoya
2002 FW24 2nd half season (HP) - Montoya
2003 FW24 launch version - Schumacher

Some special edition ones are:
2000 FW22 Brazil GP - Jenson Button
2000 FW22 Australian GP - Schumacher
2002 FW24 test - Nico Rosberg

Hotwheels verisons:
2005 FW27 - Mark Webber
2005 FW27 - Nick Heidfeld

There are about six 1/18 BMW Sauber models right now I think:

2006 C24 (Sauber) launch version - Villeneuve
2006 C24 (Sauber) launch version - Heidfeld
2006 F1.06 race version - Villeneuve
2006 F1.06 race version - Heidfeld
2007 F1.06 launch version - Kubica
2007 F1.06 launch version - Heidfeld

They're coming out with the 2007 F1.07 race versions for both Kubica and Heidfeld this year. Then they'll come out with BMW Sauber's F1.06 "First Podium" car (milking the F1.06 mold I guess) and also the F1.06 Kubica car. So four of them are in the making. We'll see about them. I'll talk to the BMW dealership nearby here about leasing a 3 series and see if they can throw in those models for with the lease or sell to me for half off.

Onto an update...I bought this one a little over a month ago, but never got around to posting the pic. 2002 FW24 1st half season (Compaq) with JPM.

P.S. As far as V12 LMRs, I have the #16 Art Car, #17 car, and #43 Becks car still to go so I'm 1/2 way there. I still got 5 more M3 GTRs to find. #42 and #43 ALMS Road Atlanta cars. #42 and #43 Laguna Seca cars (dealer editions I believe). And the #43 ELMS Jarama car.

I picked up 10 more cars over the past month or so and will get to posting pics of them all sometime today. Here's a picture of two of the new ones.

1/18 Minichamps #42 and #43 ALMS Petit LeMans (Road Atlanta) M3 GTRs. :D

I'll get to posting the other pics later today. I'm working on purchasing two more from Germany, but I have to deal with exchange rates without going through Paypal. It will take a few days just to send the money. :(

In addition to the two Petit LeMans M3 GTRs above and the ELMS Jarama M3 GTR in the first post, I added this M3 GTR. :) It's the dealer edition of the Laguna Seca M3 GTRs. I only have #43 unfortunately.

Here it is next to the Jarama ELMS M3 GTR found in the first post. A few subtle differences.

All four in their boxes and out of their boxes. :D

Here are a few other LeMans cars I picked up.

The first two are 1/18 Kyosho V12 LMRs. #42 is the 1999 Sebring 12 Hours race. No #43 was made. The other is the #17 1999 24 hours of LeMans car. Also Kyosho, but dealer box.

The other pic is my first UT McLaren F1 GTR. :) The #59 Ueno Clinic 1995 overall winner. Powered by BMW of course. Same engine as the V12 LMR btw.

Here are the last four I picked up. Two Ralf Schumacher FW23s and two Jenson Button FW22s.

As seen in my first post, I already have a Ralf FW23, so how are these different? The one in the first post is the "First Win" car, which was at San Marino. The one pictured on the left here is the normal race version. The one on the right is the San Marino practice car. The San Marino cars are different at the rear wing elements, front wing splitter ends, and a logo on the front nose (Worldcom shown on race version, but not San Marino cars). Also, the back of the wing on the practice car is different from the 1st win car. Keep your distance! :)

One of the Jenson Button cars is the regular 2000 race version. The other is the Brazil edition where he first scored points (only 1,444 made). That one is on the right.
