This was very simple to create.

First I started with an Asphalt texture that I found on the Internet.

Then in Photoshop I created an 8x11 document and pasted the Asphalt texture in. I kept pasting in the texture until I filled the whole document. The using a 30 pixel brush I painted in the lines.

Next I used and old 2' x 1' shelf

Last, using double sided tape, I attached the 3 printed pages to the shelf.

When photographing my models I used the camera highest setting 2048x1536.

(This image has been resized to 640x480)

Then in Photoshop I crop the image down so you can't see the shelf. Sometime I even extend the road in Photoshop to make it look wider than it actually is. :cheers

That's really ingenious Eric! :nicejob :nicejob :nicejob I've always been astonished at how realistic it looks in your photos. Thanks for sharing your 'how-to'. :cheers

Nice and effective tutorial Eric! Many thanks :nicejob Im thinking of doing a similar setup, except with the use of light grit glasspaper (in black) rather than paper.
