I found a picture of a UT 993 RS on google images today I had not seen before. It's red, silver and yellow with the Pirelli and Shell logos. Is this car rare? I don' remember seeing one for sale lately. Anyone know a good price?

It's not a common car, but not the rarest of racers.

That is one that, I think, replicates a Super Cup car, that was reserved for a "celebrity" driver, when that series was run in conjunction with F1 races. Not a bad model, the mix of tampos and decals is suspect, and it is surprising what is decal and what is tampo. If you can get it for under $50 USD, probably not a bad deal, however, it is not the best of the GT2's.

Dont confuse this 993 with a GT2 .

This model is actually a Porsche 993 RSR 3.8 Supercup car.
It has a totally different rear spoiler / wheels / engine to the GT2 and doesnt have the wide arches of the GT2.

It isnt exactly rare and can be found pretty cheaply . I have seen these recently on Ebay for $20 + shipping .
A nice model for that price , but like most UT`s with Decals , they can become brittle and flake after a while.

The application of stickers on this model is a real let down. If you have a chance to inspect the model, please do so.

I got mine about a month ago, it is good unusual car. I dont know how rare it is, probably as much as the STP GT2. However, the decals are not very well done. If you like the livery, and find at a reasonable price, say 40 to 50 euros, it would be a good purchase in my opinion.

I agree that the decals are poorly done... but I really like the livery, and I really like 993's... so it was a must have for me.

My biggest UT / Decal disappontment was the 24 hrs at Spa BMW 320I "Bastos" livery car. Talk about an awesome livery, but seriously [email protected] decals. I ended up selling it as I could not bear the thought of having a model with such [email protected] decals in my collection. :ranting
