Hello to all the nascar fans,

I just received my very 1st nascar , it's a 1:24 Action 2004 Ron Hornaday "KISS" nascar.

I do not know much about Ron Hornaday, but sure know about the band KISS :giggle

I have to admit I am very surprised by the detail in these little rockets, even the box is very nice.

As a added bonus with this car, it is autographed by 2 members of KISS, Gene Simmons & Paul Stanley , I'm not a big fan of having diecast signed on, " Tho I do like the way Felix gets his cars signed under the hood" but this one seems to fill the bill nicely don't you think.

I will have to add another nascar to my collection, as these are very good little models.

Sorry for yapping on, here are the photos.
:cheers

Mike,

I'm sure Gene Simmons signature alone is worth the price of admission.

Be careful with those NASCAR models, some of those livires are really appealing :tempted

Did Hornaday actually race in this livery?

If so, I may have to get this one!

Richmond Gets Big NASCAR Kiss.....
Richmond, VA - Look out for the "Kiss" cars this September at Richmond! Richmond International announced special "Kiss" paint schemes for Kevin Harvick, Ron Hornaday and trucks driver Matt Crafton during the Chevy "Rock and Roll 400" weekend September 9th through the 11th.

Paul Stanley, KISS - "There's a lot of similarities between NASCAR events and KISS concerts. You know you have this incredible energy, this incredible horsepower and the roar of the engines. It's the same type of spectacle that we put on."

:cheers

I think that you are! :giggle I went to a WM earlier and they several 1/18 Nascars marked down to $6.00. They were the RacingAction brand with sealed hoods. I was tampted as they had several like the Dale JR., HomeDepot, Lowes that would look good with the 1/18 drivers that I bought, but I managed to walk away with only Granpa's Dragula form "The Munsters"

I also saw some 1/18 figures of the 4 KISS members at Spencers (a mall store that sells novalties and every-once-in-a-while has diecast. They would look good with a 1/18 car.

Hey It's Hornaday's KISS Busch car. It's a nice scheme. To answer Ducati's question Hornaday ran that paint scheme at Richmond September 2004. He started 30th and ended up 21st. I've got the tape somewhere. There were KISS schemes on the #6 truck and the #29 Nextel Cup car that weekend also.
