Passat Comparison Photos!!

There are 17 high res photos up. I especially like the white background I am testing out. They are currently at Yahoo Photos because uploading 16 pictures here will take up too many space and take up too much bandwidth

Umm... is it just me or is the link not working? I just tried it myself and it brings me to an empty album.. :confused

You know what, you just brought up a good point. I didn't really realize that. The newer Passat kind of does sit a bit lower. It still looks great though. :lol

Still working on making a 1/18 copy though...

BTW, the 1:1 B5.5 (latest version in Passat lingo...) does sit a bit lower than the B5 (1997-2000 model).

The Welly Passat is GREAT besides the two faults. Attachment stubs in the back and the grill is completely in chrome which is inaccurate. The VW logo seems to be a bit huge compared to the Shanghai VW one I Have.

BTW, i drive a Passat too.

And I like what you did to your Passat! I showed my friends that photo and they all said it was awesome! :cool1

BOTTOM LINE : You will not regret getting this model, it looks VERY good indeed. :happy

I am doing the custom model using my Shanghai Passat (Excellent model BTW)

Do you know ClubB5.com? If you have a Passat and/or Passat related question, this is the place to be. I have been on there since its inception back in '99

I drive a Passat GLS 1.8T with a Monsoon Stereo system!!! :lol
I tried to find a model with the same color as my car, but never found it. The blue on the Shanghai VW was TOO bright so i got a silver one. Then came welly, the dark blue kinda resembles the "Blue Anthracite" on my car so i'm satisfied.

Great choice. mine is the V6. Blue Anthracite is a beautiful but hard to find color.
BTW, Anson also made a beautiful model of the B5 (European version). However, I was unable to find it so I resorted to the Shanghai VW regardless of the differences in wheelbase and trim (The Shangai VW Passat, although similar to the US, Euro passat, has minor differences that catered to the Asian markets)

Are you talking about the 1:1 mods or the models?

i'd like to see BOTH 1:1 mods and 1:18 mods but this forum is for model cars, so yea your model mods :lol

The Anson one is pretty much the same as the Shanghai one I believe.
