I'm a big Ducati fan and seeing as there are no other detailed Panigale's I'll probably get it. It's a quarter of the size of the real thing isn't it!? Also do you know when it's out?
Have you looked at 1:12 Tamiya yet?

Yeah I have but I suck at model kits haha

Ryan I hear there is a 1:12 Panigale coming....

Thanks for the pics Rob it looks awesome!

I don't get how Pocher's giant 1:8 cars and this 1:4 bike can have such awesome detail and fine metal castings, while CMC and even more Exoto charge the same kind of money for their much smaller models (€350 to €500 for the high end CMCs and Exoto 156, even more for their 159 and 246). Looking at the closeup photos of the Ducati (thanks rac3r) the metal parts are very detailed, in spite of the odd shapes, and are accurate down to the beveling on the edges of the fairings.
Hmmm, I think if you were to (re) read my thread on building the Pocher Aventador you wouldn't be saying that. Lots of details are sadly lacking, if they had the same detail as Exotos or CMCs they would however be extremely expensive. Think Amalgam or even more.
They dumbed down the engine, left out lots of engine parts or moulded pipes that went to nowhere. All to keep the cost down. To be honest once the car is built you no longer see the engine. Several decals are 'missing' and the DVD player could have been molded. Instead its a wrong colour decal.

At some point in time though there will be trans kits made for these models to bring them from 'Bburago level' up to 'AUTOart level'. A lot can be done if you're in to scratch building and this is what I do like about the Pocher.

Hmm ok thanks Rob for that tip, to be honest it's been some time since I visited your Aventador build thread. I'll go through it again, but for now will take your word regarding the detail quality of the Pochers. I guess my enthusiasm was a little too much on seeing the Panigale brakes :)

I must agree though that the pics of the Pocher bike taken by Rob from Carmodelz show a lot more detail than what they put on the cars. Bikes have much more visible details that they can't hide like they do on their cars.
I used to build the Tamiya 1:6 bikes (some 40 years ago) for that reason (and I used to be a rider at the time too).

Much more bike details to drool over than a car. I too am exited and hoping for working front suspension too. Must be quite a spectacle to see this bike in person. Fingers crossed that it's better detail quality than their cars.

Yeah you are right Rob, bikes do usually show much more suspension and brake detail than cars. If someone didn't tell me I would have said those photos of the 1:4 Panigale are actually of the real bike :) That thing will be a beast with its size and details.

Craig is probably going to love it since he recently developed an interest in bikes :D

I think it's absolutely glorious! And I would love to have it, but it's a bit too big, oh and the price.
If it will come in 1/12 or something, I'd probably get one. One of the main reasons I'm getting into bikes now is for the detailing, I love the actual bikes themselves but the detailing on most of them is fantastic!
