The Porsche 718 Spyder RS…. Could this be THE perfect Porsche as of today? Might very well be! (other than the insane roof installation procedure on the 1:1).
992 GT3’s naturally aspirated motor with 9,000 rpm redline, shoehorned into a smaller car, what could go wrong?
I was really excited when Norev released the 718 Spyder RS and the Red version really caught my eyes, so I decided to add one to my collection. Once again Norev really knocked this out of the park! Suffice to say I am very happy with it!
As of alternative colors, at the time of this writing, Norev also released the Spyder RS in Grey Weissach edition (with CF accents). The Cayman GT4 RS are also available in Black and Orange if you prefer to go the hardtop route.

VERDICT:
Here are some quick outdoor shots of the Norev 718 Spyder RS.
As you can tell, I got a little shutter-happy ~ lots of pics! 😀
Hope you enjoy them!

PROS:
- Great craftmanship.
- Proportions and paint job are dead on.
- Great details on the wheel and tires (detailed brakes and branded tires)
- Perforated grilles.
- Interior details are top notch! Love the red interior door pull strap
- Mechanism for trunk opening.
- No QC issues.
CONS:
- No roof included, would be very cool if a molded soft-top is included that could ‘snap-in’.
- The roof pull straps (on the trunk lid) are off-scaled (2x too big).
- Not too crazy about the plaid red upholstery.
- No engine details, but that’s not really Norev’s fault.
VERDICT:
- Recommended – 100%!
Here are some quick outdoor shots of the Norev 718 Spyder RS.
- The 1st set are the solo pics of the 718 Spyder RS.
- The 2nd set are shots of the 718 Spyder RS and the previous-gen 981 Cayman GT4 (Schuco).
As you can tell, I got a little shutter-happy ~ lots of pics! 😀
Hope you enjoy them!
