·I was sitting in my office reading a new book I got on the history or Porsche and I was inspired to transform my stock 996 Maisto into a track ready road machine. This is why Ive been away from the computer for a few days. However thinking of what criteria would be approapriate I had a vision. I imagined myself owning this very model as a real car. I asked myself what would I want to do to this car so as to be able to drive to work every day but still tear it up on the weekends auto crossing. So I designed this model with some (yet very little) practicality in mind.
First I painted the floor silver. Then ripped out half of the rear seat, still leaving it usable. I blacken out the headlights around the bulbs. I slammed the car and painted the rims black with silver center caps and lug nuts. The under body was painted flat black and the rear underside was detailed. Also for serious weekend racing I installed a complete rollcage. For that extra edge in performance I installed custom intercoolers in the front(indicative of a turbo that packs a serious punch. The center console and HVAC/Radio was removed for weight reduction. Also last on the list were small touches like carpet installed in the front trunk and I got the leather re-upholstered in stock grey and executive black.
*Also note the rear strut tower bar for extra cornering performance.
