Got this in the mail today. Didn't expect it to be arriving so soon since I only placed my order last week.

First impressions are that this is a slightly more detailed diecast compared to the 996 GT3s from AUTOart. Exterior-wise, it now has perforated mesh air vents at the front. I am happy to report that vents on the engine cover are perforated as well. The dash has received more attention than the older models though this could just be because of the 1:1. Interior wiring is now a separate piece but it is still very crude at best.

Here are some pics. Thumbnails link to large files :cheers

First time I'm seeing this one!

I like the color and the design of the stripes.... :eek:k

...but I still won't buy one!

I was expecting fantastic pics and you delivered, Leslie - great looking model!

Congrats Leslie. Great photos of course, and this is a nice looking racer. Perhaps I will have to get the Minichamps Flying Lizard 996 and then an AUTOart 997 to go beside it :help

A question that I feel must have come around before, but any news on what other liveries this model might be released in? I quite like the orange but I always like to check out potential options before making a choice.

Thanks Dave. 2 regular releases have been announced by AUTOart so far: Green VIP and Deutchland. Green VIP, as the name suggests, is pretty much the same as this orange, except the orange bits are green :giggle . I have not seen a picture of the Deutchland livery though. You can be sure AUTOart will milk this mold until it's bone dry and then some. :cheers
