For those of you who have a digicam where you can select your own light metering mode, which one(s) do you use? I've always left mine Canon S30 on "centre weighted mode" and never really tried shooting in the other modes.

So, I thought I'd float the question to you guys.

Selects the metering mode. Three modes are available:

Evaluative: which divides the frame into several zones for light metering. The metering is able to evaluate complex lighting conditions, take into account the position of the subject, the brightness of both foreground and background.
Centre-weighted: a system that gives greater importance to what is at the centre of the frame but which also takes the surrounding area into account.
Spot: meters the area at the centre of the frame; or can be set to follow the autofocus point which may not always be at the centre (Spot AE Point).
