I won an auction for a UT McLaren F1 GTR street, version 1 without box. I would like to know how much these cars are worth without box! :cheers

Thanks

Congrats Rico. Mclarens F1 is a very nice piece to collect. What color did you get?

I may be a minority here in this view but boxes isn't worth much to me. They're for wholesalers and retailers use in shipping and store display. If the model is truely rare and in good condition, I wouldn't pay or charge any more for the box. I would be quite pleased if my Mclaren came in a soft velvet pouch like jewelry and well packed.

It's the Papaya Orange streetgoing GTR! The first version with the double rear spoiler. :danbanna

I think I got it for a steal; 29 euros! :danbanna :danbanna :danbanna

Just want to know the actual value, and be sure I really got a bargain. :confused

You sure have a bargain, with or without the box. Its a McLaren dude! You are supposed to be worshipping the car, not worrying about the box. Completely agree with what TMD has to say. Boxes r for packing, the cars are for enjoying.
:iagree :iagree :iagree :iagree :iagree

To me boxes are just for transit, I always throw mine away
(I know that models are worth more with boxes)
but I tend to consider myself a Collector not a Speculator

Dang! Thats my dream model. Congrats on it! No doubt you will be very satisfied. That is definitely a good price (here in the US, thats about $36!!!) For that model without a box, I have seen it go up to about 64 euro ($80). Its incredibly rare to find that model at that cheap of price. I've never even heard of one go at that price. You are one very very lucky man! :cheers

Congrats Rico!! That's a gem of a car. :cheers :cheers :cheers The price you got it for sounds really really good. I think I just saw one sell for about US$86 (~69 Euros) a day ago on eBay.
