Hiya all!

What's with the weird supply and demand of the AUTOart EVO VI's? The standard RS's don't sell, and are at discount prices everywhere. The TME's are completely MISSING from everywhere, and even if one pops up, they're expensive (or more so than the standard VI's).

Right, enought with the ranting... Just wondering if the AUTOart Lancer EVO VI rally cars are HTF? I saw one in a local hobby store, but the price is just a tad ($90CAD for the car) above the new AUTOart's pricing. It's the Makinen Monte Carlo Rally one (with white skirts on the sides). It's not high on my want-list, but I don't want to miss out now if it's HTF, and have to find it at a even HIGHER price point later on...

Thanks all for your help!

I have a EVO 6 and its a Makkinen rally version. I love it more than the street version of the car. But it depends on what interests you. I think the car you seen is #7. Please check the tampo printing on the car. The painted white triangle on the hood of my car has begun to show hairline cracks.

The standard street cars (VI & VII) I believe aren't produced anymore. I recently found one of each street version at a hobby show for $30 each (couldn't turn this down!). I am trying my rear off to find a Evo VI TME street version n red, and they aren't out there. You are so right about their prices. When one does come up, the seller on ebay wants over $100+ for it. I guess people now realize that these are harder to come by, and the value is rising accordingly. Just look at the UT Porsche 911 Turbo S. Made in small amounts, now these are worth at a minimum $100, but have seen these go as high as $300. Supply and demand I guess. Hope this helps. :cheers. Back to my quest for a TME Street. :giggle .

thanks all!

Winston: Ya, I'm pretty sure that's the #7 car (I'll check again next week, the store's pretty far)... So these VI's use decals a lot? That's why the decals are cracking? :pullhair

Well, I like the car, but it's not really high on my want-list, as I said. But I'm afraid when I do get to that point in my list, I won't be able to find it, or it'll be a super high-priced purchase :p

No decals on this one Gary. Its all tampo printed. But the white paint is thick and I suspect because of our weather and humidity, the paint has begun to crack. A very nice car nonetheless. My holy grail once upon a time.

Sir Gary, you evil man! Now I want BOTH! :pullhair

But I think the EVO VI is harder to find, so that comes first :giggle

I saw a bunch of the EVO VII rally cars at Speed Motorsporst, but they're freaking expensive! 100+tax!

weirdly, i don't really care for the normal VI RS... I've already got the blue 1:43 AUTOart, so i'm not in a hurry to get the VI. It seems no one wants it, or the VII...

The rally cars, however, are another story :lol
