Hi.

I have an UT Models 1:18 Porsche 996 Carrera, in black. This car has a problem, the paint is in bad shape and besides that I don't like the color.

In a store near me there's a Gate 1:18 Yellow 996 Carrera very cheap, and I though about this:

I would buy the Gate's car and then I would exchange the black body of the UT for the yellow body of the Gate, so I would have an yellow car, but with the much better wheels and interior of the UT. I thought about this because I know that these two models share the same mold and only differ in the interior and the wheels.

My question is: can I do this? Are the screws of the Gate and the UT in the same place? Can I change the UT's body for the Gate's and mantain the interior and the wheels of the UT?

Thanks in advance.

I just checked the base plates on my UT and Gate 911`s and they both have the same mounting and screw positions so I would imagine this will be a fairly easy swap.

Let us know how you get on with it

Thank you. The base plates have screws in the same place, but the cars' chassis have them in the same places too?

Thank you very much!
