Hi everyone. I just thought maybe it is time that I put some pics of my small collection. I am new to this hobby, its's been just over a year or so since I started but I am addicted to it now.
Here is my collection. I would like to know what you think about it. Ignore the ferraris, they are me brothers, it isnt my taste.

The Manta is the cheapest model in my collection but I cant seperate it from the rest. It is made by Rewell, cant be considered as a high end brand but it isnt bad at all. I really like it. It is also available in yellow. I wish the Manta 400 is also made in 1:18 scale. I have got a couple of pictures of it, here they are;

By the way Max Power, if you are in the UK, this address might end your long search for the Escort WRC: www.autosportmodels.com, it is definetely a good deal. If I were you I wouldnt miss it.

Welcome RPM. Very nice collection you're got there. In the third photo, is that black Ford Escort a UT? The wheels on it doesn't look like any others I've seen on a UT Escort. Looks great though.

All the Escorts are made by UT, I havent made any modifications to them except the air vents on the roof of the martini model. As common with many UTs, the brake detail isnt very good. The standard Cossie has a little smaller wheels (16) compared to the other two, maybe that hides the brake problem and it looks better. The model is actually dark blue (more correctly Pacifica Blue ), in the photo it looks a bit darker. I am obsessed with Escort Cosworths, I might pick a couple more, if I come across one day.

RPM - welcome to the forums! :danbana
Well, what a VERY nice collection you have there. I think it is a top idea to get a mix of the rally cars and the road cars that spawned them. That is a great collecting theme. The Escort WRC road car is always a crowd puller, and the 22B is nice (I have one of them too). You were saying the Manta isn't the best quality car in your collection but from your photos, it looks acceptable to me!
Have you considered moving into collecting rally cars in 1:43? A whole new world of collecting will open up to you then as there are so many cars that haven't been modelled in 1:18. Want a Hyundai Accent WRC? A Seat Cordoba WRC? Skoda Octavia and Fabia WRC's? Look no further than Vitesse's Skid range and IXO's range, as well as some AutoArt's as well. Earlier Lancer Evo IV and V versions driven by the great Tommi Makinen can only be found in their ranges. Colin McRae Subaru WRC's? Only in 1:43 by Trofeu.

Thanks for sharing pics of your collection. They were a pleasure to look at, even if they were contaminated with the Ferraris.....! :giggle

Cheers,
Anders

Thanks for your kind words ajrichar, there is a lot of models that I can find in 1:18, some are still coming soon (fingers crossed) but I am also aware of the fact that some of my favorites(Toyota Celica gt-four "especially ST185), Fiat 131 Abarth/Mirafiori, Peugeot 205 T16, Lancia Delta S4, Renault 11 Turbo, Nissan Sunny GTI-R) might never be made in that scale. So I will be forced to turn to 1:43, they are very good as well but once you start, you like to keep it all the same scale.
