The Kyosho F40 I ordered from Japan just arrived and it is a complete stunner. I parted with my Hot wheels elite F40 about 4 months ago, and even though I don't have them side by side, the difference in quality is unmistakable.
For those who have been avid diecast collectors for longer than I have, how does this model compare to the original?
I see this re-release states that it is licensed for production by BBR models. While BBR is a very good brand, if I'm going to pay around $500 in total with import charges, I want my model to have opening features.
If a license is provided to someone, does that mean the mold is based on BBR's, which is renowned for its accuracy? Or is it simply because BBR is the only manufacturer with licensing to produce the F40?
