I remember when.. if you wanted a decent representation of a vehicle you had to make it by hand. Unfortunately, all of those paint and cyanoacrylate fumes has made it impossible for me to recall anything earlier than that.

I do also recall Anson, Maisto, BBurago's were the premier 1:18th scale manufacturers! Those were not so golden days.

And by the way we have to 'pump' our own gas as well - however there is a bucket and sponge if we want to wash our own windscreens......

I remember when dinosaurs didn't have feathers. Not that I mind scientific progress, but now my immense childhood library of dinosaur literature is horribly obsolete.

I remember when kids were allowed to have peanuts at school.

I remember when kids were allowed to get hurt, because that's what kids did.

I'm only 22 and I already feel old...

There was the exact square root of sod all consideration in regards to passive smoking, since everybody smoked actively. Everywhere.
Toys contained lead, had sharp edges and exploded in our hands.
We walked to school. On our own. Or we rode our bicycles without a helmet because there were no bicycle helmets.
Depending on where you lived, you swam in rivers, lakes, or the sea.
We taped the charts. In mono. On cassettes. Besides, a cassette and a pencil are a matched set, I have you know.
We needed bottle openers to open a bottle, ring pulls were razor sharp and you threw them away.
There were no seatbelts in the back of a car, I stood upright between the front seats all the way to Italy.
Phones were wired to a wall and had dials. Public phones were in phone boxes that smelled of piss and you needed change.
A fizzy drink consisted of some powder stirred into tap water.
Porn was printed on paper.
Summers were hot and sunny and Winters cold with enough snow to go skiing.
We did snowball battles in the schoolyard and we ate snow.
Our clothing was itching.
Roller Discos seemed a good idea.
