When I'm taking photos of Doron's collection, sure I like it!!
I get to see some rare and very special models..

Today, you will see 2 amazing models, one is a UT C36 DTM race car, and the second is the awesome Sauber C9 prototype from Exoto. I consider it to be the best model I have ever seen in real, and probably is the best of the best list in 1/18.
The Sauber is just amazing, if the model would come with a key, I'm sure we could start&go :lol

So, here are the photos:

NOTE: Please be nice to dial-up users in your posts. When you post more than 10 images per post, downloads are REALLY slow. When you have 2 posts one after another for 38 photos, that's way too much. I have selected your best photos to leave in your post. The others have been converted to links. Getter 3 will PM you as well.

Superb cars Alon. Doron has surely been at the right place at the right time. The livery really suits the DTM well. Make mine in the same colors. :cheers
Good job with limiting all the picture sizes too. We appreciate you taking time to think about all other members who will no doubt enjoy these pics. :nicejob

How come there is no number on the C9?

Gorgeous models though, I have the DTM and am really getting lured into getting a C9 off ebay. :cheers

Well there always seem to be some from this one guy that you can buy it now for $170. But there are some others from a seller by the name of d8888e that has a couple on there right now going for $100 with a couple hours left to go.

I just want one of these so bad- I love the group C cars. :cheers

The Sauber has no # because it's the works prototype car, which means it did not race, it was used to show the world what it would be. The only thing that the car couldn't show was it's domination of it's class in competition.

from http://www.sauber-petronas.com/en/home/index.php

SAUBER MERCEDES C9Mercedes-Benz preferred to remain in the background for the debut of the C9 at Silverstone in 1987. At the end of 1987 Sauber's C9 won the prestigious duel against Porsche at the Supercup final on the Nürburgring. This important victory gave Mercedes-Benz the last push it needed to return to racing after an absence of 33 years. In 1988 Sauber was named Mercedes' official works team. Five victories in the Sportscar Championship in 1988 and second place overall in the series was sufficient for the C9 to start in the traditional silver colour in the 1989 season. The new Silver Arrows made the 1989 racing season the most successful season in Sauber's history: double victory in Le Mans, a total of eight victories in the World Championship, and victory in both the Constructors' and Drivers' Championships with Jean-Louis Schlesser.

Technical Data

As for the Ellen Lohr car. This is a thing of beauty, no other livery has held so much appeal for myself(or alot of race collectors). With the MB engine shown to be tearing through the bonnet, what else can one say. The vibrant blue as the mai color, this car had the curb appeal to blow everyone else away!
