Can anyone comment on the quality of these. Saw some in a new store today and they look decent enough. I was just wondering if they're worth the $25 they're asking. Thanks.

If it's not the Junior line models, then $25 is a pretty decent price for Schuco models. However, their quality varies from model to model, if you feel the details on the model you are looking at is good, I'd say go for it.

Schucos used to go for more than Minichamps in the past (at least in one US store), but in Europe, they can be had at very good prices.

So I went back to that store and lo and behold these were 30% off. Glad I took a day to ask about them here. They are very nice models for the price - the Gullwing features opening doors and real metal wipers and side vents.

I also bought a ton of older Hot Wheels - it was a good day.

The good thing about these models is that they can get discounted at incredible prices, like some of the Audi R8s from Minichamps, they were going for 9.95 Euro at one point. The AUTOart DTM Mercedes also go for similar prices since they never really took away too many of the Minichamps collectors even though quality is actualy better than the Minichamps. The Schuco V8 Star models are being discounted on eBay Germany in a similar fashion I believe.

If you want bargains and don't mind waiting or don't really care about a specific driver, you will be able to bag a lot of models at really good prices.
