Since Ford didn't make one in '04 (but some dealers made their own) I decided to make one myself. I have been working on this for a while, but I should be done with it next week.

So far what I have done:

Removed the gray two-tone paint from the body.
Lowered front and back.
Addapted the Ertl F-150 wheels.
Addapted the Ertl spare.
Detailed the undercarrage.
Painted the seat inserts silver with a red pinstripe.
Chromed the nerf bars (running boards).
Added a cargo extender for the Ertl F-150.

Still need to do:
Add HD decals to the body and maybe seats.
Maybe detail the engine or swap the Ertl supercharged one in it.
Put is back together.

I forgot, I might chrome the grill but I am not sure how that is going to look.

Is Maisto still scheduled to release the new HD F50?

Maisto is doing the 2004 HD F250/350.
That one is based on the "Super Duty" pickup which is completely different from the F150.
The Excursion is based on the Super Duty :wink

Wow I cannot wait to see the finished product!Sounds like it will looks amazaing. According to Designs in Motion the Maisto F 250's are instock in both HD and XLT trim. I have yet to see them on ebay or anywhere else. Usually ebay has them before anyone else.

I like the looks of that. How about cutting off the two horizontal bars in the middle of the grill and backing the whole thing with mesh? Thats a FX4 the offroad tuned F150. If you look at the more luxury styled Lariat version you can see the grill is a major styling difference and the Harley Davidson edition is all about styling.

That post by Felix proded me to work faster so I am almost finish. I just need to figure out how to do the grill. I added some detailed Carrera GT rotor/calipers to it.
